Ferndale and Oakland County COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Returns – Now Open to Youth and Teens Ages 12 and Up!
The City of Ferndale announced today that the COVID-19 vaccine clinic will return for youth and teens ages twelve and up. The clinic will begin Thursday, May 27, and run from 9:00. a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pfizer vaccines will be provided. Those under eighteen must have a parent or legal guardian with them in attendance.
Individuals are encouraged to register on Oakland County’s site and select a desired location and appointment time. Walk-ins are also being accepted at all locations. Those with appointments at next week's vaccine clinic for their first dose will receive follow-up appointments at the same time and location three weeks later for their second dose.
Additionally, Oakland County has partnered with SMART Bus for local accessible transportation to and from vaccine appointments. Whenr egistering for a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, any resident who has transportation needs can simply check a box to indicate they need a ride to their appointment. When they receive their confirmation email, they are prompted to call 800-848-5533 to schedule their transportation to and from the clinic.
Ferndale is one of 12 community-based clinics being conducted by the County; others are located in Hazel Park, Holly, Lake Orion, Pontiac, Rochester, Royal Oak Township, Troy, Waterford, and West Bloomfield.
