Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has commemorated the month of April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month.

The City has shown its support by placing a blue pinwheel garden outside of the Ferndale Police Department. The pinwheel signifies hope for a nurturing and safe childhood that every child deserves. This campaign encourages all individuals, businesses, and organizations to take action by learning more about child abuse prevention. “They’re not just pinwheels. They’re a promise.”
