The EGGstravaganza celebrates the season with egg hunts at five Ferndale parks. These egg hunts are completely free to the public and open to children ages 1-11. A variety of eggs and prizes are available for each age group. The Easter bunny also may make an appearance!

The annual Gravity Art Fair and Skate Contest kicks off the summer season in style and excitement! This free contest and community festival celebrates art and skateboard culture, including an art fair showcasing unique artists and their work inspired by skating, biking, and wheeling culture. There is also a series of skateboard, BMX, inline roller skate, and scooter trick contests with prizes available to winners.

The Parks and Recreation Department and the Downtown Development Authority have partnered to bring free movie showings to select parks around the City during the summer and fall seasons. During the fall season, there will be some (not so) scary movies shown. Visitors can expect a bevy of fun games and activities before each film.

Come celebrate the autumn season at the Detroit Curling Club, filled with a fall-themed wonderland of games, activities, music, and treats. Attendees must purchase a wristband that grants them access to a wide variety of activities, including hayrides, pony rides, carnival games and prizes, crafts, face painting, pumpkin painting, and more.

During this family-friendly event, Santa visits children and families at various parks to sing holiday songs, pass out candy canes, and take pictures. He ends the day at Schiffer Park where atendees can enjoy festive music, make s'mores with marshmellow roasting, write letters to Santa, and even tell him what they want for the Holidays. The complete schedule for the parade route is announced as the event draws closer. 

This dance is an opportunity for father figures to treat their daughters to a fun evening including a live DJ, treats, and light refreshments. Each group receives a photo printed on-site, a goodie bag, and a carnation.
