UPDATED: Rainbow Crosswalk Repainting to Take Place May 31
The Rainbow Crosswalk on West Nine Mile Road will be repainted on Tuesday, May 31, which was previously scheduled for Wednesday, May 25. This will involve a temporary road closure on West Nine Mile, between Woodward and Allen, until the work is complete. There may be some delays, and be sure to follow all posted detours.
City's Online Payment System to be Temporarily Delayed Tuesday, April 24
Ferndale's online payment system, Point and Pay, will be conducting emergency maintenance on the morning of Tuesday, May 24, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continuing into the late morning hours.

OAKSTEM Tree Planting to Begin This Spring
The City was recently awarded an OAKSTEM grant that offered free trees for residents and business owners as part of the annual tree-planting program. 197 trees were ordered because of the grant, and those who placed an order can expect the trees to be delivered for planting in the next few weeks.

Ferndale is expected to receive extremely low temperatures in the coming days. With the incoming cold temperatures comes the potential for frozen pipes. We want to make you aware of potential signs of this occurrence, as well as ways to assist the problem. The most common sign of frozen pipes is low water pressure. Pipes that are most likely to freeze are often those that are exposed to the severe cold, typically outdoors, water supply pipes in unheated areas such as kitchens, attics, or garages, or pipes that run against exterior walls with limited insulation.
